Case Study
Reformation
Reformation is one of our long-standing customers, and their brand is widely respected for transparency, ethical production, and sustainability. They aim to provide inclusive sizing and responsible fashion practices, which means precision and adaptability for each collection.
The Challenge
As Reformation expanded their petite and extended size offerings, some of their existing styles were giving fit model issues—especially in the middle sizes between standard fits. They needed a solution that preserved their design integrity while adding flexibility.
The Solution
We recommended integrating smocking into the backs of those particular styles. Smocking provided “wiggle room” without altering the front silhouette or overall look. This allowed garments to better accommodate a broader range of bodies while preserving design shape.
The Outcome
The campaign was successful: improved fit for more people, more customer satisfaction, and a visible uptick in sales. It’s a prime example of how slow fashion and thoughtful engineering of garment details can result in ethical growth and real commercial gains.
